Someone who caught a early screening said the "leaked" pics of TwoFace we were talking about a few pages back and are in that banner arent accurate.

That his appearance in the film is different.

YouTube - The Dark Knight Dominos Trailer

I'm getting a Roy Batty vibe from that awesome shot of the Joker's head in the darkness ("Does it depress you...how alone you really are"). Something about the way Heath purses his lips.

Not surprising considering how big an influence Blade Runner was on the first picture.

So, the hyperbole of this non-review/review is off the charts, but I gotta say it again, there's a pattern emerging from these reviews.

Could it really be this good?

Devin at CHUD put up a counterargument to that article. I now how much you all hate the guy, but ever since he saw the movie, he's been writing about how hyperbolic all the praise it's been getting is. I actually think it's a nice change of pace from the man. It's sound advice. It's always a bad thing to go into a movie with the perception that you're seeing the next Godfather Part II. Also from the article, he seems to reveal that he likes the movie a bit more than he's let on. He says it sits at about 8.0-8.5 out of 10 for him. He gave Hellboy II an 8.5 (Guillermo Del Toro is essentially a worshipped deity at CHUD).

Ray,

The problem with that article is that Devin literally rips the guy for voicing only an opinion.

Why do that? Just because it's drastically different than his...?

What if you don't like the Godfather movies?

Thanks everyone for assuring me that by avoiding sites like that altogether, I'm not missing anything worthwhile.

I get pretty much all my movie information through forums like this one, and that's just fine even if it can be third-party stuff that came from those sites. It's a nice way to avoid them while still getting the information.

I haven't seen the Godfather movies due to a complete lack of interest, and nothing more.
