Anchorman - sound distortion for everyone?

I'm desperately trying to track down a problem with my audio but I can't seem to find a solution.

I'm hearing voice distortion during certain parts of all DVD's during times of high volume voice. I thought it was my equipment but now I'm not so sure as I've tested the same spot of Anchorman on multiple sound systems.

If you have Anchorman, and you have a moment, please go to the second chapter of the movie where he's getting ready to jump off the diving board - when he says "I need EVERYBODY, to LISTEN" do you hear a distortion that sort of sounds like your speaker not being able to handle the audio at the time?

It's nothing too major but it happens on a lot of movies, and it happens in the same spots over and over - is it just a flaw in the soundtrack? I have a hard time believing that Hollywood produces movies that have this many audio flaws - it happens in every movie, some more than others.

Anyone else experiencing this? Before I go dump a bunch of money on a new DVD player, etc. - I'd sure love to know if it's just a problem with the movie itself.

Thank you so much!

Best Regards,

Eric

BTW - it happens even on low volume which leads me to believe it's coming from the source (either all my DVD players are shitty or it's this DVD).

Please ask this question in the HT Software forum, which is where DVDs are discussed.
