What a horrible, horrible idea. Gladiator is one of my favorite movies, but it could only be diminished by a sequel. Ridley Scott would have to return, take a totally different approach, and pull a miracle out of his ass for this thing to work. Hopefully Djimon, an actor I like a lot, is just voicing some wishful thinking.

We all can see Hollywood is running out of ideas but I had no idea they are getting this desperate.

If it deals with Maximus' humble beginings and shows him gowing up in the ranks and lots of asskicking, I'm for it!

They had a video game with a tagline...I'm trying to remember what it is exactly, but it's something similar to "Maximus, kickimus, bootimus"

They keep talking about this sequel, but I hope it's not made. It'll make no sense.

In somewhat related news, Drew Barrymore is talking with Steve about an E.T. sequel.
