James Coburn and Charles Coburn--were they related?

I had read or heard somewhere that James Coburn was the grandson of Charles Coburn, but when I tried to confirm it today from a discussion on another board, I found almost no indication that it was true. Here's a source which does make that claim, but apparently the obits from when James died in late 2002 made no mention of it. Anyone know for sure?

Yes, very odd ... seems like a rumor to me. Both are Oscar winners, so one would think that the obits for James would have mentioned Charles, or that James himself would have talked about it, somewhere. James Coburn's first big role was in 1960, and Charles died in 1961.
