By my count, only 2 of his movies have them.

I count three; Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and The Village. Signs is almost a twist in that the ending makes you think of the preceding part of the film in a totally different light.

Suffice to say that it is not surprising that people fault him for an over-dependency on a very non-conventional resolution device.

See, what I really loved about the teaser was that in those few seconds I could totally feel the loneliness for the character. I think it was brilliantly conveyed and that right there got me to want to see it. That sadness.
bingo.

i can't wait for this one.

Unbreakable had a twist ending? Maybe the realization was a twist to the Bruce Willis character, but certainly not the audience I would think. Perhaps I need to watch it again.

It was definitely a twist to the audience too.

I am puzzled as to why everyone accuses him of overreliance on twist endings. By my count, only 2 of his movies have them.

Of his six films to date, Wide Awake, The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and The Village all feature twist endings. I've never seen Praying With Anger, so I can't say for sure if that ends with a twist.
