It is a movie from the 80's, it revolves around a group of teens or early 20 somethings that manage to get an old house, or maybe it was a hotel, and renovate it into a hotel/club. This may be too vague, or I may be wrong about the specifics, but I do recall them going into town in a van and getting supplies. I can see this description is going to be helpful.

I think it's Playing for Keeps. The main thing I remember about it is it had Phil Collins's We Said Hello, Goodbye in it.
