Can't wait...
Posters went up this week so I did a web search and found this....

Newsletter No. 12 - Telegram - January 2005

Dear Colleagues and Friends:

we are pleased to announce the opening of our exhibition "Stanley Kubrick" at the Martin-Gropius-Bau in Berlin on 19 January 2005 at 7pm. In cooperation with the Filmmuseum Berlin - Deutsche Kinemathek and the support of the 55th Berlin International Film Festival, our exhibition will be presented until 11 April 2005. Main sponsors are the Hauptstadtkulturfonds and the Federal Cultural Foundation.

The extensive exhibition is supplied by Kubrick's estate which was first made accessible by the Deutsches Filmmuseum. It presents originals interacting with models and room installations. Several parts of the exhibition were equipped with additional objects since its first presentation in Frankfurt. This time, the detailed reproduction of the front projection rig finds its due place at the entrance of the area concerning 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY. Again, it was installed personally by Kubrick's camera technician Joe Dunton.

Christiane Kubrick, Jan Harlan and the production designer Sir Ken Adam will be attending the press conference at the cinema on 19 January 2005, 11am and will also address greetings to the audience at the opening, Lichthof of the Martin-Gropius-Bau, 7pm. After Gereon Sievernich, director of the Martin-Gropius-Bau, and Hans-Peter Reichmann, Deputy Director of the Deutsches Filmmusem, have welcomed the guests, the following orators will speak: Karin Schubert, Mayor of Berlin, Hortensia Völckers, Executive Board and Artistic Director of the German Federal Cultural Foundation, Dr. Hans-Bernhard Nordhoff, Head of the Department of Culture and Leisure Frankfurt am Main, and Prof. Dr. Joachim-Felix Leonhard, State Secretary Federal State of Hesse, Department of Arts and Sciences.

For the presentation in Berlin, the Deutsches Filmmuseum is cooperating with several important and supra-regional media. The Newspaper Der Tagesspiegel, the periodical Blickpunkt: Film and the city magazine zitty advertise the exhibition. Radioeins broadcasts a radio-trailer and visitor comments. The TV-station rbb sums up the most impressive scenes from Kubrick's films in a compilation produced by bibo tv and puts it on the air during its evening program. Further, rbb is hosting "The Long Stanley Kubrick Night" screening KILLER'S KISS, THE KILLING and PATHS OF GLORY. We wish to thank all media partners for the good cooperation.

We would also like to thank the following partners for their support: Samsung Electronics for the lending of high quality flat screens and LCD monitors, British Airways for sponsoring the flights of our guests of honor, Volkswagen for the limousine service and Berliner Pilsener, Adolf Störzel and Vöslauer Mineralwasser for the beverages at the exhibition opening.

The 55th Berlin International Film Festival (10 to 20 February 2005) with its retrospective on "Production Design" is paying tribute to Stanley Kubrick's films by hosting special events in cooperation with the Einsteinforum and the Berlinale Talent Campus on which we will inform separately. Accompanying the Berlinale, February's newsletter will focus on "Production Design" as well.

We are looking forward to welcoming you as visitors at our exhibition in Berlin!

Your Stanley Kubrick Exhibition Team

Yeah, it sounds great. I hope I can get over there.

For those of you who won't be able to make it, this site offers a lot of information and even a virtual tour of the exhibition :
