As for your comments towards INTOLERANCE, I really can't understand your bashes towards that film or BIRTH. It seems you just hate "big" pictures in genreal and feel that visuals mean poor stories or at least poor stories in American films. Griffith certainly used the four stories better than the similar foreign film LEAVES FROM SATAN'S BOOK.

Hey, Joe, not all of us can get into these long discussions over every movie we've watched. I liked keeping track of all of the films I've watched during '05, and am looking forward to hopefully doing so in '06, but I don't know if I can keep up with you and Michael on debating all of the films I watch next year.

It was a very disappointing total for me this year, personally. I always like to see at least 300 films per year, but this time I ended up at 249. Last year I managed 316. Looks like I've got to try harder in '06!

But I discovered a lot of great films for the first time, and that was a plus.

Well, I saw very few films made in 2005 this year. I went to see all of the big genre pictures like STAR WARS and KONG, but haven't been to as many smaller pictures(I still need to see BAREBACK MOUNTAIN, CAPOTE and a few others). I hope to have more variety in my film viewing in '06. And lots of repeat viewings this year. I've rewatched the SW films, BATMAN BEGINS, the original KONG and other faves several times.
