It is a type of keyboard instrument. It has a very ethereal quality. It is also used in Bava's, Black Sabbath during the final segment, "The Drop of Water". I have heard it in many Eurohorrors of the Sixties but I can't recall which other films they are. It's a great sound and I love to get my hands on one of those instruments! I'd be much obliged if you could help.
