It might have been a tv movie and don't remember. I saw it as a kid during the 1980's whilst growing up in the UK. An astronaut while in space gets blasted by a ray/laser in the face. I think the laser was emitted from a star. He then returns to earth and I think he might have super-powers (but I'm not certain). But what I do remember is that he becomes sensitive to sunlight and he can't look directly at the sun. I know the details are vague but I hope one of you guys can help me. This forum is brilliant and the success rate is always good.
I thought the movie was called "North Star" but I did a search on IMDB and couldn't find a match.
