think Mysterio is a great choice, and Haden Church would be fine for such a role.

given the quote attributed to Raimi that the next villian would provide visual opportunities audiences haven't seen yet (or something to that effect) it got me thinking that Mysterio would provide the most potential in this area.
electric rays and sand-morphing, imo, really wouldn't seem that 'new' (although i'm sure they could be fun),
also, the idea of illusion/not being able to tell what is real, etc seems to me could be tied in thematically with Parkers domestic life in some way that wouldn't seem unnatural or forced.

all just conjecture of course.

Venom can't do anything visually that Spider-Man and the T-1000 haven't already done, so I really hope that rules him out.

Don't you ever, EVER compare me to "Family Guy," you hear me Kyle? Compare me to "Family Guy" again and so help me, I will kill you where you stand!

Do you have any idea what it's like? Everywhere I go: "Hey Cartman you must like 'Family Guy,' right?" "Hey, your sense of humor reminds me of 'Family Guy' Cartman!" I AM NOTHING LIKE FAMILY GUY! WHEN I MAKE JOKES THEY ARE INHERENT TO A STORY! DEEP SITUATIONAL AND EMOTIONAL JOKES BASED ON WHAT IS RELEVANT AND HAS A POINT, NOT JUST ONE RANDOM INTERCHANGEABLE JOKE AFTER ANOTHER!

Good.

Sony doesn't own Spiderman. If they don't make a movie within X amount of time then MVL can simply license him to another studio. All of MVL's contracts with studios have terms like that in them.

I just hope the movie turns out okay. I thought the original was lacking in a certain aspect and the sequel really blew me away. I hope 3 holds up just as well if not better.

IMDB is reporting today that Thomas Haden Church will play Eddie Brock AKA VENOM & Daniel Gillies will reprise his role as John Jameson who will become Manwolf.

Here is that link.

THC as Venom

I really dislike the multiple villian approach.

Every man is my superior, in that I may learn from him.

"if internet gossip is to be believed"

We've seen plenty of internet rumors turn out to be nothing close to the truth.

Its a smokescreen I tell you.

And I have ZERO doubt that imdb got that news from the same place as the person reported it here. imdb isn't any better than we are...they just troll the nets and throw up whatever. They are also usually two-five days late on news. It's a gossip site...it has no insider information.

Take care,
Chuck

IMDB definitely has no cred as a good news source.

One villian is vastly superior against two or more.

Whoever they select as the nemesis (or nemesi, ), Rami's earned a considerable amount of trust with the Spidey franchise. I have a strong feeling most fans trust the hell out of him at this point; the two flicks so far have been awesome and very well done.

So, just relax and enjoy the show when it hits screens.
