I was thinking along the lines of Carlos' thinking - perhaps Marcus already had wings before becoming a "hybrid", since he is the "master" vampire.
Anyway, enjoyed the first one and enjoyed the second one

And the wings were a pretty nifty 'get over here' weapon to boot.
I really liked the first one and this one was no different. Some great action, decent mythology, Beckinsale. :b
My only qualm was that they did a few too many little flashbacks to the previous movie.

Hopefully we'll get more footage on the DVD (doesn't that seem to be the rule rather than the exception nowadays?). The first movie ran 121 theatrically and 133 on the DC DVD, and this movie ran 105! If there is more footage, especially if it expands the mythology, I can't wait to see it--even if it's not re-cut into the movie, then as a deleted scenes menu.

It wouldn't surprise me if they follow the same format with Evolution on home video that they did with Underworld. The theatrical cut on DVD/HD in May then 5 months later, the extended cut on DVD/HD.
Still with the capacity of HD, Wiseman should really cut the two films together, tinker with it a bit and release it on HD and see what people think about it.

Pretty nifty, but rather bizarre that he used them in nearly every encounter with his enemies, except when fighting Michael on the back of the truck. Why didn't he use them in that fight? He was flapping all around the truck, so they were "ready to go".
And one thing that bugged the hell out of me was that all Selene ever seemed to carry for weapons were traditional guns with regular bullets. If you were going up against a powerful vampire and lycans, wouldn't you carry something a little more damaging than regular bullets, which seemed to have little effect on anyone? I mean, it was verging on comical. At the end of the last film, both sides had the ultraviolet rounds. Why wasn't she using them?
Also, I don't buy all this "but he's my son," "but he's my brother" crap. If my son or brother were a rampaging monster that was out of control and threatening to expose my entire coven with his actions and carelessness, I would have no problem eliminating him. Family ties can only stretch so far; they don't trump absolutely everything.
Oh, and I thought it was funny that they brought back Shane Brolly as Kraven just to kill him off (after he caught such a raft of crap for his horrible acting in the first film). Yeah, Shane...we want you back, but you only have one scene and it's only about 90 seconds long. And when it's over, your character will be dead.

So much for that theory. (U:E dropped about 70% on Friday, to third place behind Big Momma and McPhee)

I actually appreciated the Kraven scene. It was like the makers giving a nod to the fans who hated his acting from the first one and "giving us what we wanted." It was cathartic to see

Drag?
Simple physics... the quickest way off the truck would be to open his wings to stab Michael. He switched up tactics to attacking Selene once he realized he was evenly matched with Michael without his special ability.

I'm simply amazed. I had no idea so many people wanted to see Martin Lawrence run around in fat suit drag.

What's better than Kate Beckinsale in tight leather? Kate Beckinsale out of her tight leather...
Movies I would purchase instantly if they were available in their correct aspect ratio:
Death Trap, Innocent Blood, The Shadow, and Remo Williams

When you walk through a storm, hold your head up high, And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm, there's a golden cloud, and the sweet silver song of a lark,
Walk on through the wind, Walk on through the rain, Though your dreams may be tossed and blown,
Walk on, Walk on, with hope in your heart and you'll never walk alone,
YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE!!

Still haven't got to see this one guys.
Heard Kate got a little nudie action in this one. Is that true?
Never really saw her as one that would show skin. Not complaining but she seemes much too classy. The tight leather was enough for me
