Is it pro or con?

Re: Kevin Smith announces "Clerks 2"
Since Randall can be heard in the trailer saying "There is only one 'Return', and it ain't of the King, it's of the Jedi", I'm guessing it's very, very con

Man, an hour wasted on this sig! Thanks, Toshiba! :p

It's very con and so dead-on if you have a sense of humor. Probably one of the best parts of the film...amongst many great parts.
\"Don\'t be too proud of this technological terror you\'ve constructed. The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the Force\"

Re: Kevin Smith announces "Clerks 2"
While it was Con the LOTR trilogy movies, it was mostly negative toward the fanbase. Which is what I thought was funny.
Better then I expected. The bachelor party bit dragged on WAY too long and I thought hurt some of the flow of that part of the film. But it was good fun and some of the bits were hilarious.

Nope. Smith said that he was sure that it would get an NC-17 but the MPAA give it an R without any edits.

Re: Kevin Smith announces "Clerks 2"
The LOTR trilogy review was by far my favorite part of the film.
The man I loved - the man who vanished - he never came back at all. But maybe he's still out there, somewhere. Maybe some day, when Gotham no longer needs Batman, I'll see him again.

Re: Kevin Smith announces "Clerks 2"
This is the first movie in a long time where I'd pay to see it again in a theater (I usually just wait for the DVD).
This hasn't happened since Man On Fire a few years ago (I saw it 4 times in the theater and a countless number of times on DVD & cable).

Re: Kevin Smith announces "Clerks 2"
I liked it a lot. Very funny, and it had heart as well. It's just fun to hang out with these characters. Nice job from all the principles. Rosario Dawson really classed up the joint. And Oh My God, Kevin Smith moved the camera!!!

Hardly. This segment disappointed me. Let's see, here's the gist: All they do is walk around, 25 endings, gay Hobbits. In other words, the exact same stuff we've seen on thousands of web sites and heard hundreds of times over the past 5 years. I expected Smith to at least try to do something original here. Props to Anderson - his delivery was the only thing that made it somewhat funny.
Same thing goes for the LotR nerds comebacks. "Mannequin Skywalker"?? so "been there, done that".

That was probably the point, as it was basically a message board argument brought to life. That scene was probably my favorite part as well, besides the ending.
I only had two real negatives with this film: the random song/dance number, which felt sort of pointless, and the donkey scene seemed to drag a bit. Other than that, I loved it. Smith's best since Chasing Amy, for sure.
