How does he do this stuff without getting nailed for copywrite infringement? I thought that WB would have nailed him for that Mallrats X trailer with the Christian Bale voiceover from the first Batman Begins trailer. Now he's stealing from TPOTC?

That stuff is probably protected by parody laws.

Don't you ever, EVER compare me to "Family Guy," you hear me Kyle? Compare me to "Family Guy" again and so help me, I will kill you where you stand!

Do you have any idea what it's like? Everywhere I go: "Hey Cartman you must like 'Family Guy,' right?" "Hey, your sense of humor reminds me of 'Family Guy' Cartman!" I AM NOTHING LIKE FAMILY GUY! WHEN I MAKE JOKES THEY ARE INHERENT TO A STORY! DEEP SITUATIONAL AND EMOTIONAL JOKES BASED ON WHAT IS RELEVANT AND HAS A POINT, NOT JUST ONE RANDOM INTERCHANGEABLE JOKE AFTER ANOTHER!

I'm a babe in the woods when it comes to copywrite laws so you're probably correct. But I can just imagine how Smith would feel if someone used the image of Jay and Bob to sell a non-askew film or included a soundbite of Jay going 'snootch to the nootch!' or something like that in a non-askew trailer.

It's not like Smith can't sell his own stuff without resorting to using other people's creativity.

The fact that you're asking this question shows how chillingly effective the studios have been at expanding the role of copyright outside its proper limitations...

hmm...not much of a teaser, imo. Who is the woman featured prominently that isn't Rosario Dawson?
