Michael Moore to film Florida vote

Mods: If you feel this should go in the F-9/11 discussion thread please feel free... (or the After Hours area)
Yahoo! News

Quote:
Controversial US filmmaker Michael Moore plans to take his cameras to Florida on Election Day, amid continuing controversy over voting machines in the state known for its 2000 electoral debacle, the Sun-Sentinel newspaper reported. "I am committed. I am coming to Florida," the South Florida daily quoted Moore as saying. "Together, we will guarantee to every Floridian that their vote will be counted this year."

Considering how screwed up the touch-screen voting sytem appears to be, I would welcome this, regardless of position. (and since I'm Canadian it doesn't matter)

Despite the fact that i'm rarely in agreement with Michael Moore's politics I say bring it on. He'll be less likley to claim that millions of Floridians were disenfranchised if his cameras are on the scene.

Are you kidding? All he needs is a shot of some bewildered old woman walking into the bathroom instead of the ballot box, and he'll use that to infer mass voting problems across the entire state. Moore is not a documentarian, he is a polemcist.

It's a purely political topic, not directly related to any film. Accordingly, it's closed.
