No, I'll second 'To Live and Die in LA' and 'Year of the Dragon'.
Lethal Weapons 1 & 2 were great fun too.
Robocop was superb, Verhoeven's best film in my book.
Stakeout.
Sea of Love.
Can't think of any more, minds gone blank.
[Edit]
Thought of a couple more...
Colors
And for comedy the first 'Beverly Hills Cop' was great fun.

I gotta go with Robocop as well. I just recently watched the Criterion version and it has stood the test of time very well for being almost 20 years old.
I still consider Clarence Boddicker one of my all time favorite villians "Can you fly Bobby"

King of New York (Sorta)
Beverly Hills Cop
48 Hours
Shakedown (Ok, a sentimental pick)
Lethal Weapon
Gorky Park

Hey kid you got no class. Hit the bums, kid. Run like the devil. Get a tin can and take up mooching. Knock on back doors for a nickel.
Tell them your story. Make \'em weep. You could have been a meat-eater, kid. But you didn\'t listen to me when I laid it down.
Stay off the tracks. Forget it. Its a bum\'s world for a bum. You\'ll never be Emperor of the North Pole, kid. You had the juice, kid, but not the heart and they go together.
You\'re all gas and no feel, and nobody can teach you that, not even A-No.1. So stay off the train, she\'ll throw you under for sure. Remember me for that. So long, kid. -A-No.1

RoboCop, Lethal Weapon, 48 Hours, Running Scared, Manhunter, Sea of Love, Midnight Run (kind of a cop movie?), The Untouchables, Prince of the City.

Quentin,
Nice additions. I had forgotten about Running Scared.
