Trailer for "Saw" Talk about messed up!

Didn't see anyone else post this yet so here it is. Saw is a horror film that premiered at Sundance and just from the trailer it looks pretty freaky.

Comes out this fall.

Scott Weinberg has been hyping it up since Sundance, definitely a high prioity on my 'films to see' list. What surprised me was the cast they assembled, pretty damn good for a bunch of unknown filmmakers.

Wow - that's on my radar screen for sure. And their tagline looks to be completely appropriate.

I saw this in mid May, and here is a small review I posted at another board, a horror board of course :

I saw this today, and holy shit, it was truly amazing!!! I was not expecting this film to be as disturbing and gruesome as it was, that's for sure. It really got under my skin at times, and the film is extremely intense throughout, and I mean VERY intense! The suspense is also some of the best I've ever experienced, and had me squirming in anticipation of what would happen next. The scene with the mechanism designed to tear off a person's lips is one of the most suspensful and dire scenes I've ever had the pleasure of seeing! Also, if you want gruesome imagery, this film has it in spades. The plot is also beyond intriguing, and there are some very sweet twists as you are kept on complete edge as the film unfolds. The set pieces are also suitably bleak and creepy, not to mention just plain wonderful. Some sweet editing throughout as well.

The acting is great on all fronts. Tobin Bell and Cary Elwes are really compelling in the lead roles, and Danny Glover really chews the scenery as Detective Tapp. Glover's always a joy to watch IMO, and he's perfect here. Then there's the lovely Shawnee Smith. It is so great to finally see her in another horror film, especially one this amazing, and even with her limited screen time, she does a truly fabulous job.

Anyways, this film is what horror is all about. One of the darkest, most horrific horror films in years, and also one of the absolute best, and you can bet your ass this film is one of my new all time favorites!Seriously, I recommend that everyone here check this film out when it hits theaters, because it seriously blew me away big time, and I don't think any self respecting horror fan should miss this one. Also, try and avoid spoilers, because this is one film where you do not want to have any of the surprises spoiled, believe me. I give it my absolute highest recommendation! ***** out of *****!
