RIP Character actor Victor Argo (you do know him, really!)

(assuming you've seen any of the films he's been in)

Maybe not by name, but check out his face:

Quote:
His film credits include "Taxi Driver," "The Last Temptation of Christ," "King of New York," "Household Saints," "Smoke," "Don't Say a Word," "Lulu on the Bridge," "Queenie in Love," "Ghost Dog" and the upcoming "Dirt." He worked often for diretors Martin Scorcese and Abel Ferrera.

His IMDB page:

http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0034519/

He's one of those good character actors with an unforgettable face who shows up and you think "there's that guy!" It's nice to know his name now, though too bad the knowledge came after he died.

Favorite film of 2008 (so far): The Fall

Favorite films of 2007: There Will Be Blood, Across The Universe, The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford, Black Snake Moan

His face rings no bell with me. Still sad, but no recognition here (even though I've seen 6 of the movies he's in).

Not only do I recognize him from most of those films, but I also saw him on Broadway just four months ago in Anna in the Tropics. You would never have known he was ill from the vigor of his performance. This is a terrible loss.
