Lemony Snicket trailer up

http://www.themoviebox.net/movies/20...Events/TVSpot/

I know of, but haven't read, the books, but this looks good. It doesn't come out until December 17. This is the first and last trailer I'll watch. I want to go into the movie fresh.

Favorite film of 2008 (so far): The Fall

Favorite films of 2007: There Will Be Blood, Across The Universe, The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford, Black Snake Moan

The kids look pretty good, but I'm afraid Jim Carrey is going to be...well, Jim Carrey, chewing the scenery and completely overshadowing everything else about the film. The children should be the centerpiece, not Jim Carrey.

I am a huge fan of the books. Visually the setting, the kids and even Jim Carrey all look straight out of the book! However as Malcom has stated, Jim Carrey being Jim Carrey is not part of the books. The character that Jimmy Carrey is playing, Count Olaf, is a very mean and scary person in the books. Hopefully the movie remains true to the books. ::: fingers crossed:::

I don't see where it says it'll have two aspect ratios. I do see this:

Super 1.85 (Super 35mm 2.35:1 for 1.85:1 extraction)

The man I loved - the man who vanished - he never came back at all. But maybe he's still out there, somewhere. Maybe some day, when Gotham no longer needs Batman, I'll see him again.

This is a reason that I will not see this movie. Based on the previews, this is what we are to expect.

It's getting OK reviews, but the trailer makes it look like Addams Family: The Orphan Years (using the music from those films didn't help, either).
