Godsend
The man I loved - the man who vanished - he never came back at all. But maybe he's still out there, somewhere. Maybe some day, when Gotham no longer needs Batman, I'll see him again.

I thought I remember seeing this preview a while back. Anyone know why it was shelved?
It's not looking too good on rottentomatoes.

My wife is a biologist, and is very concerned about what'll happen to funding for cloning once this movie comes out. This movie has absolutely nothing to do with actual real sciene, but it'll probably scare a bunch of people into writing to their congressmen.
Luckily, right at that moment, an unconscious Argentinean fell through my roof.
He was quickly joined by a dwarf dressed as a nun.

Tell your wife not to worry... anyone who pulls their money out because of this movie.... well, you wouldn't want their money anyway.

To be honest, I think this would have been a better idea if the whole supernatural aspect (I'm gathering that there is one from the advertisements) was removed. A story about a family whose son dies and then is cloned to be replaced would be extremely interesting. What happens when he finds out? How do they live their lives afterwards? Would the kid feel bad about being a replacement or happy that they still love him? What would others think about these people?
Him getting the other kid's memories sounds like a cheesy plot device and one that I think is too ludicrous.

If you read the description you provided, it sounds a whole lot like A.I., even if the actual cloning aspect isn't explored until much later in the movie.

I went to see my usual Friday afternoon post-work movie today. Wanted to see Mean Girls but I got held up & missed the start, so went to this one instead.
Ugh.
Just a depressingly mundane, dumb, boring flick. How did DeNiro get caught up in this??
Stay away. You have been warned.

Craig nailed it.
It's an amazingly bad movie.
I thought Kinnear did a good job and Nick Hamm clearly has a slick directorial touch... but Holy Crap what a bad flick.
