Perhaps remembering it wrong. I just finished watching this after picking up the DVD. I've seen it several times before, but not in a pretty long time, maybe as long as 6 or 7 years. What I'm wondering about is the scene where the kidnappers, Mr. and Mrs. Drayton, are meeting with the assassin in a room at the chapel. Mr. Drayton plays the cymbal snippet of the concert piece so that the assassin will know when to fire. Now, maybe my mind is playing tricks on me, or maybe I'm just mixing this up with something from a different movie, but I could have sworn that there's a bit in this scene where Drayton starts to play the music for a third time to make sure that everything is clear, only to have the assassin cut him off, insisting that he's already got it well enough. That's not what happens on the DVD, though--Drayton plays the snippet twice, and then the rest of the scene continues without them having that little moment of argument that I just described. I don't know why, but I remember--at least, I think I remember--that point quite clearly from previous viewings. Am I just imagining this? I think I probably must be--after all, how/why would it be different on the DVD? But it's really quite clear in my mind as a memory associated with this movie.
