Anyone remember Labyrinth?
The other day one of the radio stations I listen to played a part of the song that David Bowie sings at the end as Sara is chasing him through the Labyrinth. Man did that bring back memories. So I went out, bought the DVD, and watched it for the first time in years last night. Man what was Jim Henson thinking. That has to be one of the oddest, funniest movies out there. Especially when muppets start removing their arms and legs and singing that song. I was literally on the floor laughing. Anyone else find that movie interesting? This is one that definitely is a must see.

I love this movie. Does kind of seem like they were all taking mind altering drugs while making it though.
My DVD Collection
I met him, fifteen years ago. I was told there was nothing left. No reason, no conscience, no understanding; even the most rudimentary sense of life or death, good or evil, right or wrong. I met this six-year-old child, with this blind, pale, emotionless face and, the blackest eyes... the Devil's eyes! I spent eight years trying to reach him, and then another seven trying to keep him locked up for I realized what was living behind that boy's eyes was purely and simply... evil! - Dr Sam Loomis(Halloween)
Damn you Mop N Glo! - Stewie (Family Guy)

" Man what was Jim Henson thinking"
You mean, what was Jim henson "smoking"

Lo, there do I see my mother, and my sisters, and my brothers, Lo, there do I see the line of my people, back to the beginning, Lo, they do call to me, they bid me take my place among them, In the halls of Valhalla, where the brave may live...

I was discussing it last night - the discussion was prompted by the fact that David Bowie is in town tonight for a concert.
It was a great and bizarre film. My favourite part is the scene with a hands. My favourite joke is the caterpillar that tells her which path not to take.

Yeah, its a fun and creative film, a real gem. The only disturbing aspect is Bowie's pants. I wish we had a little bit more "coverage" than the spandex is giving us.
It's a great fantasy film with lots of cute jokes and interesting images.
