Stephen Rebello, author of the excellent Making of Psycho, and Dan Autiler, who wrote an equally good book about the making of Vertigo, teamed up to write a book about the making of North By Northwest, which was supposed to be released in 2002.

However, I've never seen this book anywhere and - whilst plenty of places have it listed - it seems to be permanently out of stock. I've never read any reviews of it either.

Does anyone know if it was actually released ? And if not, why not ?
If it was, what's it like ? And where can I get it ?

I\'ve been going to bed early . . .

Hmm, never heard of this, though I have both the Psycho and Vertigo books, and would love to see this one. I tend to check the film section everytime I enter a bookstore, so I'm just guessing, but I doubt if this book was ever released. But maybe it'll still see the light of day someday.
