I like this list, it's a good list, representing movie fans of course rather than the film snob elite, who will have little interest in most of these films anyway.
I’ve seen every one of these movies, and I own nearly every one of them, and I have no problems with Fellowship at no.1.
My favorite movie Ben-Hur (1959) is at no.93 and City of God is last on the list at no.100.

Let's go through the motions:

*Puts on monocle*

I do believe that somehow sheep have been given the ability to write. But that's more credit I would give them than much of today's audience. When will audience's see the veil of pandering and lowest common denominator that's prevalent in garbage such as this?

Personally, I weep at such nonsense

*Takes off monocle*

Well, I guess that takes care of film snob elites.

I like every movie on this list...except for The Big Lebowski, but I saw that in high school, and my opinion of it might change if I saw it again.

I don't mean this to be rude but why did you only list 60?

The Two Towers over The Godfather?! Please. And Jurassic Park at #11? You know what? I'm not even gonna bother with this list. One look at it and you know these people were on crack when they came up with it.

One interesting stat to keep in mind though. Out of the Top 60 films on this list, only 19 were released before 1980. Shows you how little research they really did.

Because I'm a lazy bastage! I typed every word of that! [sobs] I might post the rest of it later. Unless there was a link to that list I wasn't aware of! Which would have helped.[wipes tears]

I was looking at Matrix way down at no.56, I think it would have rated much higher if those two loud crazy overblown sequels hadn't come out last year and diminished the impact of the first film.

Uhh, it's a survey. Research is irrelevant. As are surveys.

Well, that's like... just your opinion, man

Personally, I would immediately dismiss any film that was produced in the past 3-5 years for the simple fact that a great film requires to stand the test of time. Not that those films are not worthy of a consideration but it really needs to age a little first before we start bottling it up in a time capsule.

Here we go, bang on time. Yep damn those pesky British cinemagoers. Sunrise should have been at no.1. And Ivan the Terrible at no.2, just to make you and Patrick happy.

I'm sorry, but any filmthat contains a muppet should not be rated above Conan The Barbarian. The fact that this cinemtaic gem is not listed in the top 60 is just further proof that England should just sink into the Atlantic.
