Help identify war movie
I once saw about 5 minutes of what looked to be a good war movie. It was in color, probably from the same period as Guns of Navarone, and seemed to involve the British in Africa during the second world war. All I remember is that a team of British/American soldiers with some local soldiers were in an oasis, which was boobytrapped, and one of their people stepped on a landmine and had to have it dug out from under them. I recall it starred Gregory Peck, David Niven, or someone similar. And no, it was not Guns of Navarone. I'd love to see the whole thing.
