The Great Raid (Summer 2004)
Although it was originally supposed to be in theaters in Fall 2003, Miramax is releasing the war drama The Great Raid this summer. This is the second time it has been delayed. The film is directed by John Dahl and the credits include Benjamin Bratt and Joseph Fiennes.
Premise: "Set in the Philippines in 1945, THE GREAT RAID tells the true story of the 6th Ranger Battalion, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Henry Mucci (Benjamin Bratt) who undertake a daring rescue mission against all odds. Traveling thirty miles behind enemy lines, the 6th Ranger Battalion aims to liberate over 500 American prisoners-of-war from the notorious Cabanatuan Japanese POW camp in the most audacious rescue ever."
I have been following this film for almost two years and it is one of my most anticipated films of 2004. Hopefully we will see some trailers sometime soon.
Anyone else looking forward to this?
