Ok I need help with this movie title. I will explain situations within the movie

Ok I saw this on HBO the other night but could not locate a previous listing anywhere to get the name.


Some things that happen in the movie:

a girl gets hired by a lawyer firm

this girl cuts herself on her legs, and the lawyer notices and tells her to stop, cold turkey.

he spanks her behind as she is bent over on the desk proofreading a letter she has written for him



The girl looks VERY familiar but I cannot place her name.


Anyway if someone could point me in the right direction of a movie title

Sounds like Secretary to me. It stars Maggie Gyllenhaal (Donnie Darko) and James Spader.

Yeah, she's everywhere lately so it's no surprise she had that familiar look to you.

watched it for the first time on DVD yesterday.

Brilliant film.

More than makes up for Cronenbergs "Crash", in which Spader looked like a maggot on a hook for all the worth he had in the movie.

Secretary is a must see, and not just for Maggie's "full frontal nudity". Theres an actual story there too, if you look.


I once stood out from the crowd. Now, I am trying desperately to get back in.
