A lot of the reviews are saying that not all questions are answered. One even says that the fan-boy speculation on sites like this are better than what actually happens.

But the real kicker: Victoria Alexander compares one scene in Revolutions to

Spoiler:
Star Trek V.

Ouch.

I am still hoping for the best. RELOADED does get slightly better on repeat viewings.

Man I'm just gonna have to quit reading this thread altogether until I see the movie. Every post and a half is nothing but spoiler boxes :/

But I guess that's better than not using them

Is it Nov. 5 yet?

Chris, that comparison has a good point!

Spoiler:
During a 20 minutes span there are direct rip offs from Alien, Star Wars, and Star Trek

Just go into the movie with low expectations. That's ALWAYS the best policy, IMHO. I went in to Reloaded with HUGE expectations and was let down. But, with each viewing , I like Reloaded a little more. I went into Revo. with relatively no expectations and I came away entertained and happy.

I think one of the only movies I've gone into with high expectations and come out satisfied is Two Towers.

Thanks, Jeff!
Spoiler:
It sucks not to find out more about the Merovingian, but perhaps the next game will shed some light on it. This saga needs the equivalent of the Silmarillion to fill in the gaps, I guess. btw, Deus Ex Machina is the "machine god" Neo speaks with in the trailer

Man, an hour wasted on this sig! Thanks, Toshiba! :p

I was able to see the film last night, as part of a local radio station promotion.

I think Reloaded was the better film (and I didnt really care for Reloaded).

- Very little time is spent in the Matrix. There are only a few cool kung-fu scenes.

- The story is just as confusing as Reloaded. It seems to have alot to say, but doesnt quite put it all together.

- There are some cool special effects. One punch, in particular produced a colletive "Whoa" from the audience!

- The battle sequence with the APU's is impressive.

- I think Neo's conversation with the ruler of the machines may contain the deepest sustained bass I have heard in a film. The machine's voice shook the theater. Bass-heads should enjoy it.

I bought Reloaded on DVD, I probably wont buy Revolutions.

Saw this today at noon at a sneak preview sponsored by Extreme Networks (sometimes being an IT guy has its perks!)

The effects were GREAT and everything moved at a pretty quick pace. Some parts of Reloaded dragged a bit for me, but this one never seemed to. This one also had a more "epic" feel than the other two, if that makes sense.

I definitely plan to see this one a few more times on the big screen. I look forward to reading everyone's reviews and comments over the next few days.

OUCH! (St. Louis Post Dispatch Review)
Some spoilers in the above review, including one I'm shocked ended up in the review.

Unbroken link to St. Louis Today article here

EDIT:
Here is a tease:
"The Matrix Revolutions" is awful. It's not merely hapless or disappointing - it's a total catastrophe, an apocalyptic waste of money and talent that obliterates its very purpose, which was to resolve the cosmological questions that were posed by that misbegotten middle child, "The Matrix Reloaded."

I was wondering why there have not been many reviews at this late date. Here are more reviews that just became available at Rotten Tomatoes
