VIEW-
This film had been touted as the best and shocking film of the year'03 in korea.

Looking at the above synopsis...some may find it weird...that the plot do not sound correct in a logical and chronological order.
The audience have to sit through the whole theatrical screening watching the start till the end, then they understand what is really going on. Actually only three person exist,SUMI,the father and his assistant/lover-the "stepmother".

Re-arrange,the story back again...

SUMI's late mother was a mentally unstable patient, her father looses hope on her and brought his new love...his close working medical assistant to stay with the once happy family that includes younger sister SUYEON. SUMI hates the new "mother".
In a freak domestic accident,SUMI lost her mother and young sister. She lives in trauma ever since. Her condition gets worse when her father brought her back to the house where the freak accident happened. She began to have hellusinasion that the "new mother" had walked into their lives, and beginning to control SUMI and SUYEON's live. Not to forget that her late mother ahunts her everynight.

SUMI's father is not really a quiet person. He understands what was going on with SUMI,ever since that freak accident that kills his wife and the youngest child.

This is a tragic tale of the two sisters.

The film is filled with suspenseful moods most of the time, with a scene or two of shocking moments. From the start of the film, backed with heart warming score...till the start of violent incidents around the house with suspenseful music...until the end when the truth is reveal with sad music...the whole film holds the audience to their seats.
DDEX is credited, but the whole film soundstage falls mostly to the front. The side surrounds have very little movement at all, only some minor sound effects to boost the eerie mood.

Overall, the film is highly recommended,if you like THE EYE or "MEMORIES" segment of THREE.

I remember reading about this when looking for opening numbers on Wonderful Days. Thanks for a better insight into what it's about.
