Campus Movies

Hi, I'm putting together the end of the year newsletter for the RA staff in the dorm I work in. We want to list campus movies (comedies or whatever) so the freshman can relive their college experience over summer.

I thought of a few obvious ones (Animal House, Road Trip, Flatliners because it was filmed at my school (Loyola University Chicago), Real Genius), but then I draw a big blank. All I can think of are High School movies!

Any suggestions?

PCU (Comedy starring Jeremy Piven, David Spade, Jon Favreau, and the VERY HOT Megan Ward)

Revenge of the Nerds (Do I even need to explain it?)

School Ties (Drama starring Brendan Fraser and Matt Dillon. Not exactly a college film, but close enough in atmosphere)

With Honors (Drama/comedy starring Brendan Fraser and Joe Pesci)

The Skulls (Cheesy thriller starring Joshua Jackson and Craig T. Nelson)

Back to School (Comedy starring Rodney Dangerfield)

Rudy (drama starring Sean Astin)

I hope those help

Scream 2 pretty much takes place in and around a college campus

How about "Breaking Away"? Is that high school or college? I seem to think college but am not sure. A good movie anyways.

Ski School

Think of it as "Animal House at a ski resort".

One of the most quotable movies ever, and STILL not on DVD.

Yes, Breaking Away takes place at the U Indiana campus.

A few more:

Horse Feathers
Little Man Tate
School Daze
The Paper Chase
How I Got Into College
Loser
House Party 2
Gossip (or something like that... TERRIBLE movie from a few years ago)

These don't really count, but....

Class was filmed at my alma mater, Lake Forest College.

When Harry Met Sally begins at the University of Chicago campus, which is the same neighborhood where I grew up. The campus also appears in Endless Love and the Indiana Jones movies.

The Graduate has some scenes at UC Berkeley.

I actually didn't think Gossip was all that bad...

Umm...

Boys and Girls: When Harry Met Sally in college, with Freddie Prinze Jr. and Claire Forlani. I like it because Jason Biggs' character really reminds me of my friend Tyler across the hall.

The Sure Thing- More of a road movie, but the two leads are college students and the firswt 1/4 of the film takes place on campus. Nonetheless, a VERY FUNNY film.

Don't know how good it is, but National Lampoon's Van Wilder (that just came out) should fit the bill...

That's right...and it actually was pretty decent...although awfully raunchy in spots.
