You can type spoiler tags manually...
just [ spoiler ] and [ /spoiler ] without the spaces.

Re: The Lecter Variation: The Story of Young Hannibal Lecter
Got the book today.
It's really bad, even worse than "Hannibal".
Don't you ever, EVER compare me to "Family Guy," you hear me Kyle? Compare me to "Family Guy" again and so help me, I will kill you where you stand!
Do you have any idea what it's like? Everywhere I go: "Hey Cartman you must like 'Family Guy,' right?" "Hey, your sense of humor reminds me of 'Family Guy' Cartman!" I AM NOTHING LIKE FAMILY GUY! WHEN I MAKE JOKES THEY ARE INHERENT TO A STORY! DEEP SITUATIONAL AND EMOTIONAL JOKES BASED ON WHAT IS RELEVANT AND HAS A POINT, NOT JUST ONE RANDOM INTERCHANGEABLE JOKE AFTER ANOTHER!

Yikes. I used to be such a Thomas Harris fan.

Re: The Lecter Variation (2007 title: Hannibal Rising) The Story of Young Hannibal Lecter
They needed to stop at silence of the lambs.
Manhunter was by FAR the best of any of the films though, and sadly very much unknown. Sad that silence of the lambs is the one everyone jumps to, solid as it is, it just doesn't rise to the level of Michael Mann's.

I couldn't agree more.
Hannibal was the biggest piece of crap ever and Red Dragon was a complete waste of time--a needless remake as an excuse to give Hopkins one more round as Hannibal.
This one doesn't even have Hopkins, so what's the point now? Oh yah...Thomas Harris is greedy and milking it for all it's worth.

Re: The Lecter Variation (2007 title: Hannibal Rising) The Story of Young Hannibal Lecter
The weird thing is, Harris had to be coaxed to write Hannibal. He didn't want to re-visit the character, but his published pushed him until he gave in.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0367959/
Only one actor playing Hannibal, Gaspard Ulliel, as stated previously by Ron Reda.
When I saw this thread I immediately thought - Christian Bale (as did a lot of others). Oh well
