Snakehead Fish Terror!

I knew it had to happen, and I couldn't be more pleased

From Fangoria...
Quote:
"Just when you thought it was safe to illegally set loose Asian water-dwelling species in the U.S., SNAKEHEAD FISH TERROR is coming! Inspired by the headlines a little while back about the potential threat of the snakeheads (which can crawl on land, are voracious carnivores and were momentarily threatening Maryland’s waterways), this Sci Fi Channel original movie started shooting in Vancouver this week. Bruce Boxleitner and Carol Alt star, with Paul (PLEDGE NIGHT) Ziller writing and directing. And if you think getting attacked by hungry fish is a laughing matter, talk to the guy in the photo above…"

Sounds like a Pirhana for the this decade. But I can't help envisioning a 50's monster movie poster with a title like "Snakehead Fish Terror" *Now in Icthyovision!"*

I rather doubt that the snakeheads in the film will conform to the behavioral and physical limitations of real snakeheads...

I think this movie has the potential to be a fun little B-movie and I hope they stick with the title which makes me want to giggle uncontrollably. Obviously if you don't like movies about giant bugs, mutated frogs, hyperactive piranha, killer cockroaches, etc. you won't like this one. However, there are quite a large number of folks who might just like a movie about killer fish on land. (And yes, I'm one)
