I missed this when I saw Finding Nemo today (we got in right after all the trailers finished).
The trailer looks ok, though I want to know more about it.
It'll probably be great.

It's been "Brad Bird's next movie" since The Iron Giant (and it was called The Fantastics), so when you combine that being fantastic with Pixar's pretty much unblemished record of brilliance... Let's just say expectations for this one are pretty high.

Using John Barry's score from On Her Majesty's Secert Service in this teaser certailny has me interested. And apparently as of right now, Barry is set to score this movie.

Can't watch the trailer, something messed up with my PC
But I note it's released via Disney. Any idea if/how they resolved that issue regarding the 5-film deal? IIRC, a deal for 5 films was struck in the early days before Pixar had made it big; Pixar claim that with Nemo, they've fulfilled the deal and want to negotiate a new one, Disney claim that since Toy Story 2 was a sequel it didn't count and Pixar owe them one more under the terms of the old deal (which no doubt are favourable to Disney) before a new one is necessary.

Actually, the deal wouldn't include Toy Story anyway, since the deal was signed after TS was released. A lot of reports have talked about the deal running "through 2005", so I presume the 5 would be A Bug's Life, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles and the next one after that (Cars, I think).

Right on, Neil. I had an "ah-hah" moment when I realized the music was from OHMSS. I hope Barry makes a big splash and gets more projects afterwards. We all know what he can do, and do brilliantly.

Who does the voice of the main character though?
My bet is Patrick Warburton of Buzz Lightyear fame.

Can they screw up? Is it even possible? That was easily one of the funniest trailers I'd seen in a while. Truly awesome. A Pixar comic book movie doen by the director of The Iron Giant, you can't lose.
My only question is when is Lassetter gonna direct again? He hasn't done one since TS 2.

I thought I recognized that music...
This is the one I've been looking forward to. It has been too long since "The Iron Giant".

Man, I've always loved that tune.
Hope it finds it's way into the final film.
Now to get the mental picture of a bobsledding Telly Sevalas out of my head...
