Peter Pan
This is a thread about the upcoming Peter Pan film....I am very eagerly awaiting this film...its even got Jason Issacs as Hook....how cool is that....it looks to be extremely true to the book...something that none of the other films have ever done...Hook was the most true and it had a completely different story (Hook still rocks tho)the film is costing around $200mil I believe and could be the film that really challenges RotK this Christmas...heres some pics....
Also there is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT film concerning the life of J.M. Barrie this year with Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet...

There's also the 1924 silent version, which I think was done with Barrie's approval. It's on a very nice DVD from Kino, IIRC.

Wow... I hope this movie is good. I read the book when I was in grade school, and loved it. From that picture of Peter, it even matches the illustrations as far as I can remember. But what is that dragon statue? I don't remember it.
By the way, where did you get these pictures?

The first two were from AICN, and the Neverland poster may be too.
I'm seriously pumped for Hogan's adaptation

Come on now. That's just crazy talk.
Is Roberto Benigni playing Peter Pan?

If this is an amazing film, which does justice to J.M. Barrie's tale, it could be huge. There's a universal appeal in Pan, which could be unlocked by a great adaptation.
But we'll see.
