5:30 a.m. Pacific Time. CNN says they are covering them live, and I'm sure E! Entertainment channel is, too.

So...1 half hour. I was so excited this time last year. Now I just hope Serkis gets a nom Other than that, just eating the popcorn, enjoying the start of the Hollywood 500.
Take care,
Chuck

As much as I loved Serkis' work, he doesn't have a chance. This is the Academy we're talking about, remember? A bunch of old guys. Anyhoo, I'm excited. Go CHICAGO!!!

10 more minutes! I think I've seen 85%-90% of the major films/performances this year, so at least I won't be guessing blindly for my picks to win.

Okay, I'm doing a 10 minutes till flip-flop.
I'm taking Greek Wedding out and putting GONY back in for my Best Pix guess. That means I now have
TTT
Hours
GONY
Chicago
Adaptation
Just a feeling that Greek might get some voting split with the other close films and that Adaptation has the most support of those close ones.
Of course this means that MBFGW will now get the nomination.

No director nom for PJ, bet the film is also out of the running.
edit: so much for that, it came through.
And Pianist gets in after all. Bascially just like people thought about 2 months ago.
