Anyone notice XM sound fuzzing out now and then today?

I noticed today while listening to XM (ch. 20-30) that the sound would occassionally get static then come back? Anyone else have this? Could it be something to do with solar activity? My southern exposure wasn't obscured at all and it happened all day when I was in the car.

XM has suffered a malfunction of one of their satellites and their repeater system and should be back up with the next day or 2[if not sooner].

Thanks. I hadn't been able to find any information elsewhere online. Did XM post a message somewhere?

Good to know. I was wondering if I was having equipment issues.

Kevin,

I looked on xmradio.com but didn't see a notice. Obviously I missed it. Is it still posted and where on the site? I'd like to know where to look incase this happens again.

I noticed the same thing here in north Georgia, reception does seem to go out behind certain trees and low places in the terrain but the past two days have been terrible. We have been getting smoke from the wildfires down south here in north Georgia and I had began to wonder if thats what was causing it. Hopefully XM will get it fixed soon, they do not need another fiasco like the O & A thing.

Here is a link to XM's message. You can get to it by going to www.xmradio.com and finding the message in the Quick Links section or just go to http://www.xmradio.com/notices/signaldeg.xmc.

Thanks Jeff. I finally saw an article today about it while checking out the business section of CNN.

This morning it was still acting up, but this afternoon on the drive home it was fine. Hopefully it's fixed.

Same here. XM was updating me throughout this ordeal.
I am surprised others didn't get the alerts.
