I have had one for years - it's great. Never used it to rip anything, but it's great at work, especially since you can see, on screen, everything that's playing on every station at the time. It's kinda like XM Online, but you can do other things - identify favorite artists/songs, you can create sub-menus of favorite stations.
Worth getting if you can get your hands on one. In the feverish months after it was discontinued, you could have made a tidy profit selling your XMPCR.
