Received an email this morning from
an anonymous source that suggested
I post this deal on our forum for

Supposedly, a very special discount

Ron --
I checked out the link, and the prices are nice. However, they require a 6 month subscription contract at $12.95 + shipping/handling. So, in terms of a second radio deal, it's probably not the best way to go.

You are required to purchase three months of XM service when you purchase a radio through this promotion and to keep a minimum of six months continuous XM service. Failure to maintain an XM Consumer Plan or XM Family Plan monthly subscription for six months will result in a charge of $150 per Delphi MyFi , and $60 per radio for all other radios.

Doug,
Actually, it still is....
I mean, most people are going to pay for
their XM over the next 6 months anyway. The
$12.95 per month is no more expensive than
their normal rate.

I think it's a great deal, Ron, and one I've used in the past through other leads, but for a second radio price, the subscription in fact is more expensive. Second-to-fifth units are $9.99 (if I recall correctly).

Stu, you can move the radio on to your family plan and they prorate it, or make the radio you've just bought the 12.99 radio, and your older radio becomes a 6.99 radio

I dont know if these unit are eligible, but xm is also doing a $50 rebate on radios purchased before 12-31.

Thanks for the tip Ron. Based on your enjoyment of XM I had a unit installed in my car and LOVE it.
I used the link above to purchase the The Polk XRt12 reference tuner at a huge discount (even with the 3 month service charge) and cannot wait for it to come so I can enjoy it through my system. I guess I will have to settle for listening to it with my computer until it arrives. My boyfriend wants to get a stand alone boombox type unit for his father so I am starting to research that.
Thanks again.
T.
