XM Satellite Radio Adds More Than 540,000 New Net Subscriber
XM Subscriber Total Rises to 3.77 Million as Outstanding Programming and Products Drive Record Subscriber Gains

WASHINGTON, April 1, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- XM Satellite Radio (XMSR), the nation's leading provider of satellite radio, today announced it added more than 540,000 new net subscribers during the first quarter of 2005 for a total of 3.77 million subscribers. This subscriber gain represents a 68 percent increase in new net subscribers compared to the first quarter of 2004, when XM recorded 321,675 new net subscribers.
"This was the best first quarter in the history of XM.
