What Small Speakers for XM Radio?
I got a SkyFi2 for Chrismas and love it! But I would like to get a good set of desktop speakers for it. I have some JBL Platinum Speakers that came with my computer but they don't have a volume control so I don't want to use them. I do love the sound of the JBL speaker tho. I don't know how much my JBL speakers cost because they came with my computer, but I do know I love the sound when playing songs from my computer.
Anyway, today I purchased the Bose Companion 2 speakers at Circuit City for $100.00 After about half a day listening to them I have to say I am not happy with them. For $100.00 I expect something at least as good as my JBL computer speakers.
These Bose Companion 2 just don't have a full sound to my ears. It sounds hallow, like listening to a band in a big hall with no base. There is just no projection. It sounds too light.
So, I'm thinking about taking them back and getting my money back. Then finding a new set of speakers. Any recommendations? I'm looking for something under $100.00 and that can sit on my desktop. Something with a full and rich sound and good base. I don't usually play my songs full blast, but I do like to turn up the volume. I would prefer just a two piece set; not a three piece (subwoofer) but I could stick a sub under my computer desk I suppose.
Again, any recommendations?
