Almost 2 years after I posted this thread, I finally found it in the US.

Only problem....US$949.00. I suppose it's still less expensive than the Bose sound system in some cars. But this is waaaaaaaay cool.

Why would any pay 900 for a CD player with a light bulb on the front?


"World’s first CD receiver with a tube."
What does that mean? does it mean that there is a 45 x 4 tube amp built in to the receiver(ever seen a 180 watt tube amp that small for under a grand), or there is a tube on the pre amp stage, or there is a light bulb on the front that glows when turned on?

I wouldn't, but maybe somebody else will find it worth spending 900.
