Looking for the best antenna...

My dad just got XM in his semi tractor a few days ago and is experiencing problems keeping a strong signal. He is looking for the highest quality antenna available for a commercial vehicle. Any advice? Also, does it make a difference where the antenna is mounted, or is that just personal preference? Thanks in advance.

Antenna has to be mounted at the highest point on the truck, most likely at the very top of the air deflector, otherwise the trailer can shawdow the antenna, the signal will not travel through much of anything and definatly not metal, the stack can shadow the antenna if you are going the right way

Try the Big-Rig antenna from terk. It generally gets mounted to the mirror assembly and sticks up from there. It works much better than trying to get one of the little guys to work.

If it wasn't for my horse, I wouldn't have spent that year in college.
