Oh No! Glossy Paint in the Theater!

This is more like a poll question or what-would-you-do issue for after the fact.

I "found some black paint kicking around" and "quickly painted up" some trim and also a large heating duct that will remain exposed. Unfortunately the paint turned out to be glossy, which was not marked so on the can.

The obvious choices are:

1. Leave it as-is; it seems as if reflections of light from the screen don't go back at the screen.

2. Rough up the painted surfaces with fine sandpaper.

3. Spray on some clear satin lacquer to dull the finish.

4. Strip it off and do it right, with flat black paint.

Other comments welcome.

Try 1 since that is the easiest. If you can't live with it, try 3. That has the least amount of manual labor.

plain old black paint is pretty cheap....if the reflections are too much, just get a quart or two of balck and spread it around real thin. It's probably cheaper than satin finish...
