$1500 dollar budget for speakers and a/v receiver

Hi new to posting, but have used the forums for years and now need some advice. I have a budget of $1500 dollars that I would like to use for 5.1 speakers and an a/v receiver. The room i use is a work in progess, size is about 15x22. Just took down the popcorn ceiling, textured it, and painted. In the process of picking carpet, mouldings, wiring, and soundproofing. Lots of work but very fun. Any input would be great, thanks!

Re: $1500 dollar budget for speakers and a/v receiver

Many different ways to do it, here's one example:

receiver (yamaha rx-v663) Butterfly Photo Yamaha - RX-V663 7.1 Channel Home Theater Receiver - Black

front speakers (ed a6-6t6) Elemental Designs

center (ed at-6t6) Elemental Designs

rears (ed a3-5tc) Elemental Designs

sub (ed a2-300) Elemental Designs

Once again, there's many brands out there for speakers like Elemental Designs, SVS, HSU, AV123, Polk, Infinity. Of those, I wouldn't get a Polk or Infinity sub, but the other brands make excellent subs.
