Screen mounting advice
I was fortunate enough to land a 110" electric dropdown screen when my company changed floors and they cleared out all the old equipment from the original floor. However, I need some advice on how to mount this bad boy so that the opening is flush with the ceiling. The motor is on the far left and bears a significant amount of the weight. The casing for the screen is a rectangular box with right angles all around and made with 5/8" plywood. The rafters in my attic go horizontal (i.e., parallel to) the direction I want my screen to mount.
Are there kits for this, or is it best to just find some hardware for the task from Home Depot? And if the suggestion here is to mount it directly to one of the rafters, what if the location is actually BETWEEN that 16" space?
Thanks for the advice. Normally I'm pretty creative with this kind of stuff, and I'm probably overlooking the obvious. But suggestions and/or drawings/photos/diagrams would be MUCH appreciated.
Thanks so much.
