Cheapest 3ft HDMI that can transmit 1080p

I understand that it really doesn't matter how much you pay for an HDMI cable--digital is digital. Buying a $100 Monster cable isn't going to get you anything more than a $10 radio shack brand. However, I understand that not all HDMI cables can transmit 1080p. Unfortunately, in shopping around online I can't find which do and which don't. Therefore my question: what's the cheapest (3ft, preferably) HDMI cable that can handle 1080p?

Re: Cheapest 3ft HDMI that can transmit 1080p

Ok this has slightly confused me. Im about to purchases a Sony 46 LCD TV which is 1080p and was going to buy a couple of HDMI cables. How do you tell which ones are not capable of transmitting 1080p ?
And monoprice dont seem to ship overseas. Anyone know of an alternative that does.

Thanks in advance,

When you walk through a storm, hold your head up high, And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm, there's a golden cloud, and the sweet silver song of a lark,
Walk on through the wind, Walk on through the rain, Though your dreams may be tossed and blown,
Walk on, Walk on, with hope in your heart and you'll never walk alone,
YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE!!

You may be thinking of the difference between "single link" and "dual link" DVI/HDMI. All HDMI cables can transmit 1080p60. The usual type are "single link" ; the "dual link" is only needed for special purposes, and it uses a different connector. Order a cable with a plug that fits your socket, and you'll be safe.

There's nothing magical about a 1080p video signal that would prevent any HDMI cable (assuming it's properly made) from transmitting it. Digital signals are far less susceptible to any outside influence than analog signals (the old "1's and 0's" theory) so it's less important than ever to worry about cable construction (assuming it's not shoddy to the point of being unusable).

Others here have mentioned this and other associated things. I heartily endorse the use of monoprice.com HDMI cables - even their "budget" ones. It makes absolutely no sense at all to pay upwards of $100 (or even half that) on a boutique HDMI cable when $5-10 will do the job.
