Surge Protector Problem?

Hey all.

I should of posted this awhile back but I was lazy. But I hope you can shed some light on this.

I got a Surge Protector not too long ago for my TV Entertainment components. TV, receiever, etc etc. It's APC Brand, I don't know the model.

The thing I wanted to ask about is I swear if bump a plug in the slightest, it disconnects whatever that plug is for. And the plugs have to be in there EXACTLY straight and fully plugged in or it wont register as plugged. It may sound odd to ask, but is that "Normal?" I'm guessing not, and wanted to go pick up another one, but if that is normal, at least I will know.

It just seems way too overly touchy. It's like if i breathe on a plug, it disconnects. I need one not so sensitive because I do occationally add a plug to the mix, like when I am charging something and everytime I do, I feel like I'm doing surgery to make sure I don't bump anything.

"There will come a moment when you have a chance to do the right thing."

"I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by."

I'd definitely get a new one bro. I don't know how many plugs you have running to your current one, but if it's 6 or below then I'd suggest the Monster Cable AV600.

JUST MAKE SURE YOU DON'T BUY IT FROM CIRCUIT CITY WHERE THEY CHARGE $10 OVER MSRP FOR THE DAMN THING!!!

I found it at Target for MSRP of $19.99, but you can get it online for a little bit cheaper, I've seen it as low as $10
