The Ultimate Switchbox

I've done some, but not alot of research for a HDMI switcher. The ones I found were not what I am looking for and I'm curious if there is a customizable switcher that can have say one set output. say the output can be hdmi, optical, and 5.1 rca. no converting as in optical to rca at all. just in optical out optical, in rca out rca. this way i can hook up a proposed HD-DVD or Blu-ray (not decided, don't start) through hdmi and 5.1 rca, pc through hdmi and optical, cable box through hdmi and optical, and SACD/DVD-AUDIO player through 5.1 rca. the only other switching that would need to be done is on the stereo for 5.1 rca or optical.

Re: The Ultimate Switchbox

For all of the functionality you are looking for you may want to consider a receiver instead of a switch. There are many receivers on the market that meet your requirements from Denon, Onkyo, Yamaha, Pioneer, etc. It's unlikely that you will find any switch manufacturer catering towards your extensive requirements, to the best of my knowledge.

Re: The Ultimate Switchbox

Already considered it. I prefer to keep my receiver as it is. Other than the lack of switching capability, I love it.
