From old to new. A new home and a new HT Room.

Hey everyone,

Love all the setups that everyone has. This is one of the best hobbies around and makes the enjoyment of sports, tv, and movies so incredible.

First I'll direct you to my ht webpage. This is something I built the last time I did any major update. The pictures here are old (about 1 year) but I will be updating them as soon as I find the time. I have posted the new pictures below.

P3H THEATER

I have moved from my apartment into a small townhouse and have done some major changes with my HT equipment and viewing area.

Please enjoy.

My Front viewing wall. I had to install a support beam, for my screen screwed to the studs in the wall. The Draper Luma Matte White 92" screen was not aligned to the studs. I was suprised that I actually got the support and the screen perfectly centered and level.

Close up of support beam. I am still in the process of painting the room and setting up other theater decor. This will be painted either black or the same color as the wall will be

Another close up of the support beam with the screen attached.

Front sounstage and screen in disarray!

My biggest pet peeve with home theater...WIRES. They are as bad as snakes on a plane. Luckily I was able to take off the baseboards and pull up the carpet and hide everything for the front area very well.

Hidden wire area close up

Carpet replaced, now just need baseboards

Very clean looking and very invisible wires from my front viewing areas.

My trusty speaker connectors and some new speaker wire.

AHHH, more wires...luckily I was able to hide much of the equipment wires under the couch.

The newest edition to my HT family, the Optoma HD70. Best purchase I have made in a long time. Currently it is mounted on a lower shelf of a glass end table I have. But after Christmas I will be ceiling moounting it.

The viewing area. There are some changes to be made here as well...but all in due time.

The finished front wall with soundstage and screen. I will be doing some major decor changes such as adding theater drapes, different colour of paint and probably overall some new carpeting. But this will suffice until the trusty tax refund comes in.

And lastly a quick screen shot of Finding Nemo in HD on ABC. Not the best photo in the world, but man did the image look astounding in person. I will add some more in the next few days.

GIVER!
