Sub Placement Question
I put in a 4 Tempest IB about 6 months ago and after giving it a fair trial I'm not that impressed. Musically it's very nice, but for HT it lacks punch or impact. I've tweaked, etc... but it's just not there.
So now I have a big hole in the wall since I did a line array baffle. My thought is that I'd like to build (2) big ported boxes to house 2 Tempests each and stack them in the adjacent room firing through the same hole where the IB sub was. The ports would be out the back of the subs, so they would not be venting into the listening room.
So basically I'm replacing the IB with 2 ported boxes. Do you see any problem with doing that??
